iicorr delivers corrosion solutions to UK harbours
 

Aberdeen-based integrity, inspection and corrosion specialist iicorr Ltd has announced recent contract wins of around £220,000 secured by the firm’s Cathodic Protection (CP) Services division.

The projects involve delivering solutions which control the corrosion of steel structures affected by Accelerated Low Water Corrosion (ALWC) which causes billions of pounds worth of damage worldwide. They include three contracts within UK harbours and two contracts for the field life extension of offshore platforms.....more

News Item Houston office lifts off with new recruits & contracts

iicorr Ltd, a specialist technology company in integrity, inspection and corrosion, is launching a major recruitment drive for its US office this year after securing a number of US contracts including a seven figure contract with BP.

The firm’s Houston office opened in 2006 and is now headed up by Roddy James, who was formerly based in iicorr’s Aberdeen headquarters. The contract awards include refinery work for corrosion monitoring, offshore survey and a contract with BP to provide integrity services for all of the company’s deepwater risers/flowlines and subsea equipment in the Gulf of Mexico - the project set industry records with the facilities being installed on water depths of up to 7000ft....more

The Trac-scan Crawler System was custom designed in 2004 to inspect a horizontal 14” riser section for corrosion. It was used again during a recent offshore operation for Subsea 7 - iicorr was able to provide remote visual inspection in a pipe-in-pipe application by using the 7” ‘robot’....more
